NEW Record Power DML250 10” 5 Speed Cast Iron Mini Lathe
The DML250 is a compact and extremely well built machine that offers excellent performance and exceptional value for money.
The finely ground cast iron bed, along with the cast iron headstock, tailstock and tool rest, greatly reduce vibration and provide
ample strength for the lathe to cope with heavy duty work. The capacities of this machine and its overall size make it a perfect
choice for the smaller workshop. It is also ideal as a second lathe for regular use on small work and its portability means it can be
used at demonstrations and shows.

Superb machine offering quality on a small scale. Ideal for my limited space. I chose a branded model to ensure good access to accessories.

I am new to wood turning but I found the set up easy and it seems to work very well. – Next purchase – a better set of turning tools!

well pleased with my new dml250 record lathe fits in my tiny workshop brilliantly .Yandles staff very helpful as well , only one small grip the spanners supplied by record tools for use with the lathe are only 3mm thick and bend out of shape when used ,totally useless, reported to records they could not replace them with better ones , so purchase much better ones from the internet. not yandles fault they were great . Yandles get 5 stars records get 4

I find it a real fiddle to change the speed belt. Having to use a Allen Key to get at the belt is disappointing when a wing type screw bolt would do the job much easier and no need for washers.

  10. GeoffreySmart (verified owner)

The lathe is very impressive bearing in mind the low price. It runs smoothly and quietly and has enough power for the bowls and spindles I have tried so far. The tailstock is removable for clearance when faceplate turning. I have one major gripe. I need to lift it on and off the bench and where you should lift the headstock end there is just a flimsy cover. It needs a handle there.

lathe itself is pretty good but the extension bed connection bolt holes are misaligned which pushes the extension bed to one side.

This is an excellent machine. Simple to use. Small enough to store out of the way if you only have a small area.
Easy to get add ons or spares too
