Made from green oak complete with mortice and tenon joints. It comes pre drilled wih pegs. It has 2.1m high by 1.75m wide opening. It has a total height of 3m, a total width of 2.05m and a total depth of 1.2m.

Green oak is heavy and will require lifting off the lorry. Please ensure you have necessary equipment or man power to unload the lorry. This may requre more than one person. Our office can adivse on approximate weights

If there are access issues please advise prior to delivery and we can arrange necessary transport although this may occur a sur charge.

We will call before dispatch once the order is ready to orginise a delivery day. We book in all deliveries and Pallet force will call on the day of delivery to give a rough delivery time.

This a two person job for the first hour and a three person job for the second hour.

The first job was to fix in place the back post. This gives a point to work from. We drilled through the posts with an auger bit and then drilled through the container which was acting as our house. We then fixed the post to the container using two bolts at the top and bottom of the post. We then measured out the distance as per the plan and repeated the process with the second back post. We then stood up the front post roughly the correct distance from the back. As it isn’t fixed at the bottom there is more flexibility with putting together the frame. Next we fixed in the braces in place loosely going front to back into the front and back posts and slotted on top the rail between the two posts. We repeated the process on the other side. Next we put on the top rail to join the two sides together. For this we needed some extra help. Two people needed to stand either side holding the sides steady whilst the other two slotted on the rail which is quite heavy. Once the rail was in place the structure was stable. We then wiggled the front posts to the correct position making sure they were square. Once we were happy we hammered through all the pegs securing the frame. We had a forklift and a cage for the next bit, but it can be done with two people and a ladder. We then built the front apex before putting in place the ridge beam. Firstly the main post was put in place on the top rail. We then built the rest of the frame. With the front braces, it helped having someone holding the brace in place whilst another person put on the rail. Otherwise it can be a bit fiddley as the brace isn’t held securely until the rail is on it. It would be especially difficult if you are also trying to hold on to a ladder!! We then put in place the ridge beam. This slots into the apex, but needs fixing to a house/container. We fixed it to the container with a piece of wood, but in normal circumstances a rafter holder would be fine. We then put on the rafters.

Finally the pegs can be trimmed back. It is not advised to cut them flush as the green oak shrinks but the pegs to do not and so over a period of time the pegs will be sticking out unevenly as the shrinking isn’t even.
