This course provides hands-on instruction in the application of color to woodturned items using both spirit and water-based stains and dyes. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical application, participants will learn techniques to enhance the aesthetic appeal of their woodturned creations.

3. Preparation and Surface Treatment: Techniques for preparing woodturned items for coloring, including sanding, sealing, and grain filling.
4. Application Methods: Hands-on instruction in various application methods, such as brushing, spraying, dipping, and wiping.
5. Color Mixing and Blending: Understanding color theory principles to achieve desired hues and gradients.
6. Layering and Building Depth: Techniques for layering colors to create depth and dimension in woodturned pieces.
